Tawananyasha has a board of five trustees that is responsible for the overall conduct of the organization and policy making. The trustees are legally responsible for the assets of the organization and for monitoring activities of Tawananyasha to ensure that they are within the aims as stated in the trust deed. Trustees are drawn from women and men who are active in women and development issues in Zimbabwe. There are eighteen full time office staff, and several area representative who are responsible for implementing Tawananyasha programs on a day-to-day basis. Tawananyasha also has area representatives drawn from all areas it operates. In each area, there is a sub-committee, which monitors the activities of the organization in that area. Each area appoints one person to be in the Management committee, which monitors the day-to-day operations of the organization. The Management committee meets once every month to review financial and progress reports. The Directors reports to the Board of trustees. The board of trustees then in turn reports to the management committee.
