Rumbidzai Paradzai, Board of Directors, Chairperson

Rumbidzai is the coordinator of Tawananyasha women groups. She organizes the different area representatives and helps with building community structures. She has extensive knowledge in women micro enterprise activities. She has helped a lot of small businesses succeed through her good marketing strategies. She has a strong passion for the education of children and she personally take care of several orphans at her home. Rumbidzai trained several women groups and helped them establish village banks.

Pastor Goodlaw Taruona

Goodlaw was ordained a Pastor in 2001 for the Pentecostal church of Zimbabwe. Previously he worked as a Product manager for a Pharmaceutical company in Harare. Since 2000, Goodlaw has worked with different organizations in establishing shelter programs for the children in need. He has implemented a successful education assistance program for the orphans. He also introduced the community counseling program for families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Goodlaw attended the University of Zimbabwe where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.

Josephine Mandangu

Josephine possesses over 23 years of experience in women rights and community development projects. She worked as a Magistrate and later became a Legal Manager at the Women Action Group where she helped with representing women who were victims of human rights abuses. She also worked as Director-Legal Advisor (legal Advisor) in the Ministry of education. Her professional experience includes developing client contacts, leading marketing activities, developing proposals and contracts and coordinating project management activities with different governmental and non-governmental departments.

Josephine has a Bachelor of laws (LLB) and a Masters of Women Laws (LLM) from the University of Zimbabwe.

Tafadzwa Chirenje

Tafadzwa rejoined Tawananyasha’s board of directors in October 2012 after being absent for two years. She is a skilled educator and an innovative entrepreneur and has extensive experience in strategy facilitation, change management, leadership development and team enhancement.  Throughout her impressive career, Tafadzwa had managed to introduce the children group home system in Zimbabwe. She worked as a Director of the drug rehabilitation program with the then Help the need Zimbabwe. During her tenure at Help the need, she introduced a lot of community based women support programs. She also worked as a Primary school teacher in Manicaland and Harare Provinces.

Grace Fusire

Grace is a micro entrepreneur who initiated the formation of women groups in Mutoko and introduced the idea of village banks. The program is locally known as “Mukando” , meaning giving each other money in turns. She saw the projects grow from a single group to hundreds of groups in the remote village of Mutoko. A group is typically comprised of between five to ten women. Grace initiated the training programs for various micro enterprises and helped with sourcing training material.
